Krka National Park Located within the territory of Sibnik-Knin County, the Krka National Park encompasses an area of 42 square miles along the Krka River. The area has 17 travertine waterfalls along the Krka River and drops a total of 794 feet from its start in the Dinaric Mountains. Enjoy a pleasant bus ride along the Adriatic Road towards the town of Mali Ston which is considered the oysters’ capital of Croatia”. This little town is often considered as a smaller copy of Dubrovnik, with magnificent walls surrounding the town. The walls are 5 km long and the construction started in 1317 and was finished only in the 16th century. There are also the ancient salt pans that were in use during the Dubrovnik Republic. Upon arrival in Mali Ston to board the local boat which will take you to oyster and mussel beds. Your host will welcome you on board and introduce you to oyster and mussel planting in this area. You will have the unique opportunity to get in touch with oyster and mussel production as well as to taste freshly prepared oysters and mussels including mussel “bouzara” (mussels cooked with wine, garlic and olive oil). Upon return to Mali Ston you will board motor coach for the return ride back to Dubrovnik for the short orientation guided tour of Dubrovnik’s old town before getting free time for independent exploration of Dubrovnik.

Upon disembarkation, you will drive through the beautiful bay of Kotor to Perast, a small baroque village hidden behind the islet of the Lady of the Rocks. It is a tranquil place which abounds in sacred monuments such as the Church of St Nicholas, built between the 15th and 17th centuries. You will also get to visit the Maritime Museum, there will be some free time so you can explore Perast on your own before we take a boat to the islet Gospa od Skrpjela or Lady of the Rocks, and its church of the same name.

Blue Cave is one of the most attractive in a series of caves along the Lustica peninsula which separates the Bay of Kotor from the Adriatic Sea. You will experience a scenic speed boat ride past the villages and countryside of Montenegro’s coastline to reach Blue Cave, located just outside of the bay. You will do a short visit of this natural hall, then you will make a stop at Zanjice beach where you can enjoy free time to swim before boarding speed boats for a return ride back to Kotor.

There will be approx. one hour of free time at the beach in Zanjice. The passage inside the cave takes approx. 5 minutes, depending on the number of boats inside the cave. In case of rough sea conditions, it will not be possible to enter inside the Blue Cave (no refund will be given). The order of the visits may vary.

Biševo Island leaves everyone breathless; it is 5 nautical miles from the town of Komiža, and it is best known for its rare natural phenomenon, the Blue Cave. The interior of the cave and the sea inside it are illuminated with an indescribable silver-blue light. When you arrive at Biševo at Mezoporat Bay, you get off the boat and the skipper takes you to a small wooden boat, which takes you into the cave. The cave entrance is small, so at a certain point, you need to crouch in the centre of the boat while the skipper manages the boat into the cave.

Departure from Komiža with a speedboat. Skippers will take you to the famous Green Cave, which is located on the open-sea side of the islet of Ravnik, known for the visible green beam of light that penetrates through the opening on its ceiling and refracts on the sea surface. You can swim and discover this shimmering green underwater world. After visiting the Green Cave, proceed to Stiniva Cove, one of the most impressive beaches of the island, located on the southern coast. Stiniva Cove is protected with two high cliffs that form a “sea entrance” to this 35-meter long pebble beach with a clear turquoise sea. Enjoy some free time to swim before the return to Komiža.

Due to its geo-strategic position in the Adriatic Sea, the island of Vis has been place of some major naval battles in the history and played an important part for the resistance movement during World War II, housing resistance leader Tito. In the Cold War era up until 1989, the island was a heavily guarded military zone with a “shoot on sight” policy which kept foreigners and outsiders at a distance. There were as many as 30 army bases on the island and many installations remain: underground passages, rooms, bunkers, and barracks bear witness to its military past, there is even a submarine tunnel accessible by boat. This long period of isolation helped to preserve the natural beauty of the island. Start your journey from Komiža, embarking on a brief 20-minute drive to reach Cape Stupisce. Here, we’ll uncover the remnants of a former Yugoslavian cannon and rocket base. Venturing into the intricate maze of underground tunnels, we’ll glimpse the echoes of abandoned warehouses and the formidable relics of cannons. Our exploration of the Stupisce rocket base promises to be a riveting experience. Following our visit to Stupisce, we’ll continue our drive to the next military tunnel, ARK Vela Glava. A guided tour of this tunnel will provide insights into its history and purpose. From there, we’ll ascend to the pinnacle of the island of Vis, Hum Peak, soaring at an elevation of 587 meters. At this vantage point, we’ll be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding archipelago and the picturesque town of Komiža.

Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour of this ancient town. One of the best-preserved amphitheaters from antiquity, the Arena is still in use today for summer film festivals. Your walking tour includes visits to other renowned, well preserved ancient Roman structures, including the Temple to the Apollo. Other sites to be seen include the Roman city gates and walls, and a Byzantine chapel. Following your walking tour, you will have some free time for independent exploration.

The driving time between Rovinj and Pula is approx. 50 minutes (each way).

The Rovinj archipelago and coastline are listed as “Landscapes of Outstanding Value” and once you have seen them you will understand why. The area spans from St. John’s Cape to Barbariga and encompasses all twenty Rovinj islands and islets and the coastal area up to 500 m from the coastline. The water in the fjord less salty than the open sea due to the many freshwater springs, and temperatures fluctuate. The area is a natural breeding ground for many species of fish but is best known for its. There will be time for swimming and for sampling some delicious local shellfish.
